~WE HAVE BEGUN THE JOURNEY~
With a very imaginative theme and timely gesture, we have begun the final journey in this church to Easter. Employing the traditional pillars of Lent – prayer, fasting and abstinence we are also symbolically bearing our crosses on our person as we move through Lent to Easter and still further to our new place of assembly and church. The new symbol on our altar frontal reminds us that we are called to show our love of neighbour through service.
~WHO CARVED THE CROSSES AND CREATED THE FRONTAL?~
At least fifteen pyxes have been returned to the Parish since we put out the call a couple of weeks ago and we are grateful for that. But the return shows us the good work that is being done by faithful parishioners for those who are confined to their homes. A blessing indeed.
~LENTEN PRAYER~
Sunday, Feb 28th @ 4:30pm – Evening Prayer
Friday, March 5th @ 6:30pm - Stations of the Cross
~COFFEE MORNING TODAY~
This Sunday after both masses, the Parish Life Committee will host our regular coffee morning. The committee will be serving “Sinn-A-Buns” on this occasion. Everyone is welcomed to “socialize with us – no cost but your time”.
~PARISH PRAYER WALL~
During the Lenten Season parishioners are encouraged to place prayer intentions on our prayer wall, located in the Church. Frequent visits to the wall will encourage you to pray for the intentions placed there as part of your Lenten prayer. Intentions will be mentioned at least once during the weekend masses in our Prayers of the Faithful.

~STEWARDSHIP CORNER~
Jesus is transfigured on the mountaintop. Peter, James & John want to remain because they received a glimpse of His glory as the Son of God. They wanted to preserve the moment. Service to others transfigures us in the eyes of the recipient. Serving others also changes us in a profound way. God “graces” acts of service with feelings of satisfaction and the desire, like His Son, to serve others. Acts of service change the communities in which we live. May we use God given strengths and talents to best serve our parish community in a way that reflects God's glory.
